Clarence W. Williams

Clarence W. Williams, 84, of New Britain, died Monday November 20, 2006 at his home. He was the widower of Ruth Simpson Williams, who died October 20th of this year. Born in Jamaica, he lived in New Britain since 1944. Clarence was employed at the former Corbin Cabinet Lock Company, later Emhart Corporation in Berlin for 35 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church in New Britain and the local IAM. Surviving are three sons, Desmond Williams of Colchester; Berestrand Williams and his wife Monique of New York City; and Errol Williams of New Britain; a daughter, Loris Omidwar and her husband Ben of Orange County California; a sister, Daisy Belle Birdie Less of Jamaica; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Saturday 10 AM at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 147 West Main Street, New Britain, CT 06051. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 6 to 8 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain.
