Nayda Rosa Ortiz
March 19, 1968 - June 17, 2020
Nayda Rosa Ortiz, 52, of New Britain, daughter of Edison Ortiz, Sr., passed away Wednesday (June 17, 2020) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Hartford, she lived in New Britain since 2003. Nayda will leave a mark on every life she touched. Her heart was as big as the moon and she did not think twice about giving and providing for others. She was born to be a hostess and thrived on planning and preparing and organizing special events for her family. Her creative side would always take her to making special mementos for all those special occasions. She cooked like no one else in the family and she did not cook small portions, she always cooked to feed an army because she knew that it will not go to waste. She lived for her children and she would give the world for her grandkids. She was selfless and caring and welcomed all to her home. Nayda has been a fighter all her life. A strong woman who was resilient and determined to overcome her obstacles. She would go through many struggles and no one would ever know because of the smile she always had that would light up in her beautiful dark eyes. Nayda: You will be missed more than you would ever know. You leave a great hole in all of our hearts. We love you Nayda! Besides her father Edison, she leaves three sons, Edison Alexis Lalles of New Britain; Johnny Lee Lalles of Plainville; and Nicholas Juan Lalles of New Britain; a daughter, Naijuanie Luz Lalles of New Britain; three brothers, Edison Ortiz, Jr of Walhalla, SC; Reynaldo “Mollo” Ortiz of Waterbury; and Eddie “Guili” Ortiz in Puerto Rico; two sisters, Luz “Lucy” Mel of Middletown; and Rosa Haydee Addis of Swansea, SC; six grandchildren; Jazlene “Gracie”, Johnny “J.J.”, Edison “E.J.”, Nathan and Nicholas Lalles, Jr., and Layla Aldea; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
