Victoria Lydia Arroyo, 80, of New Britain, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, lovingly surrounded by her family. Born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, she lived in New Britain for over 50 years. She was a member of La Iglesia Bautista La Hermosa Church in New Britain. Victoria is survived by her son, Edwin and his wife; three daughters, Zauda Silva and her husband David of Bristol; Madelyn Rivera and her husband Robert of New Britain; and Aida L. Santiago of New Britain; a sister, Andrea Arroyo in New Britain; 8 grandchildren, Wilfredo “Tito” Portalatin, Denise Portalatin, Robert Rivera Jr., Timothy M. Rivera, Jenna, Angel Santana, Brandon Santana, Natalia Santana and Alex Lopez; many great grandchildren, including Adriana Victoria Mendoza and Noah D. Mendoza. Victoria was predeceased by her son, Angel L. Santana Jr.; her grandson, Francisco Lopez and her two sisters, Carmen and Ramona Arroyo. At the family’s request, funeral services will be private.
