Elsa (Tillman) Bullock

Elsa Beatrice Amanda (Tillman) Bullock, 93, passed away Saturday February 24, 2018 at Seabury Retirement Community in Bloomfield. Elsa is predeceased by her husband, Davis Brock Bullock Sr., her son, Davis Brock Bullock Jr., her son Ross Bullock, and her brother, Arnold Tillman. Elsa is survived by her brother George Tillman and his wife Lois of Forestville, CT, a son, Jeffrey Bullock of Bristol, CT, and her daughter Sheryl Camp and her husband John Camp of Mansfield, CT. Elsa (lovingly known as Nominee) leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Daniel Bullock and his companion Cheryl Lindsay of Wolcott, CT, and Heather Bullock of Wolcott, CT. Nominee leaves behind her step grandchildren, Ian Camp of Pembroke, NH, Jessica Porcello and her husband Jamie of Enfield, CT, Megan Cloutier and her husband Andrew of Orange, MA, and Amy Gifford and her husband Paul of Clinton, MO. In addition, Elsa leaves behind 17 step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elsa was born May 27, 1924 in New Britain, CT and lived most of her life in New Britain and Middletown, then later in life in Bristol and Bloomfield. Elsa endured several hardships in her life, but perservered with dignity and grace. Throughout her life, Elsa endeared many people to her who found her to be kind, caring, intelligent, and witty. Elsa always wanted to give of herself to everyone she met. Elsa loved to read and to travel and had an amazing gift of never meeting a stranger. She shared some very special travel moments with siblings, friends, her daughter Sheryl, her granddaughter Heather, her niece Lisa, and her French cousins, Annette and Regina. Elsa’s family would like to thank the caring staff of Seabury Davis Wing especially nurse, Marina Soloveychik and health aide Lena Renee, and also Hospice/Masonicare. To all-Thank You for your compassion and thoughtfulness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday (March 3) 11 AM at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 355 Camp St, Bristol, CT. Private burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Park. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to your local foodbank or charity of your choice.
