Patricia Boice Gorneault

Patricia Boice Gorneault, 62, of Middletown, the beloved wife of Larry Gorneault, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 29, 1949, in New Britain, she was daughter of the late Anson M. and Julia Boice, and was a former Berlin resident. She was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and special friend to many and will be deeply missed. She always gave herself to those in need, putting everyone in front of herself, providing a helping hand and shoulder to those she loved. "She is the strongest woman we know" was often said about Pattie. Her strength was just one of the beautiful traits we admired. Pattie was a graduate of New Britain Senior High School. Her work began at Carlson Insurance Agency. Later she became a home daycare provider, ending her career working at the U.S. Post Office, Hartford, retiring in 2010. Pattie and Larry love to eat out, go fishing, riding the motorcycle, and doing everything together; as well as, spending many hours decorating inside and outside her log cabin home. She spent many hours doing her arts and crafts, gardening, scratching lottery tickets hoping to win the big one, tag sales, and reading many books. Pattie was a very special, kind, loving person to her family and everyone she came in contact with. She touched everyone's heart. In addition to her loving husband, she leaves her four children: Sara and her husband David Kramer of East Hampton; Jason Fetterman and his wife Michelle of Berlin; Amy Fetterman of Middletown and Sherise Fetterman of Berlin, two stepchildren; Phillip and his wife Dawn Gorneault of Berlin, Melissa and her husband, Joseph Buccheri. Three grandsons, Brayden, Julian and Elijah Kramer and one granddaughter; Kaitlynn Fetterman. Six step grandchildren; Briana, Casey and John Gorneault; Anthony, Lorenzo and Damian Buccheri. Besides her loving children and grandchildren, she also leaves her brother, James Boice and his wife Alice of Delaware; two sisters, Elizabeth Parks and her husband Gene of Kensington, and Judith Gross of New Britain; her mother-in-law, Lilea Gorneault of Maine; three brothers-in-law, Roland and his wife, Marjorie Gorneault of Fort Kent, Maine, Robert Gorneault of Berlin, Bruce and his wife, Jo-Anna Gorneault of Punta Gorda, FL; Seven sister-in-laws: Beverly Boice of Cheshire, Elaine Boice of Newington; Ida and her husband, Melvin Campbell of Berlin; Pauline and her husband, Jeffrey Matson of Berlin; Brinda and her husband, Michael Gieras of South Windsor; Ann and her husband, Timothy Landon of Berlin and Arlene Ferreira of Waterford. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Patricia was predeceased by her former husband, Lewis Fetterman, two brothers: Anson and Jon Boice, brother-in-law, Richard Gross and her father-in-law, Paul Gorneault. We love you!
