Ralph Capsalors

Ralph Capsalors, 89 peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family as he entered eternal life on August 29, 2023. He was reunited with his wife of 64 years (Maggie Capsalors) as she preceded him on August 3, 2023. He was born on June 8th, 1934, to Carmella and Michael Capsalors. Ralph proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1952-1955. He worked at Fafnir’s in New Britain and retired from the New Britain School Department as a Painter. He was a member of St. Ann’s Church in New Britain. Ralph was an avid golfer. He spent his retirement years golfing. He loved to golf with his brothers, grandson, and lifelong friends at Stanley Golf Course in New Britain. He was known for his sense of humor and could get a chuckle out of everyone. He enjoyed challenging crossword puzzles and sudoku. Ralph enjoyed his wife Maggie’s cooking and having dinner with his family. He was a big football fan and enjoyed watching Sunday Football. He would always say, “I have the best seat, on the couch” .He absolutely adored his grandsons and especially loved being part of their lives as they grew up. He was blessed to experience so much joy from his great-grandchildren. They too were the love of his life. Ralph was sensitive and was a big supporter of St. Jude. His heart always broke for the stories about the children and the struggles the families endured. Ralph was blessed with a loving family. He was preceded in death by his wife Maggie, his brother Charles Capsalors, his niece Michele Moses, brothers-in-law Sam Moses and CMSgt. George Moses, son-in-law Gregory Baran. He is survived by his loving twin daughters Carol Capsalors Baran and Lynn Capsalors; his sister Teddie Dzwonkowski (Richard), brothers Anthony Capsalors (Tina), Michael Capsalors (Cathy) grandsons that he absolutely adored, Bryan MacDonald(Haley) and Kevin MacDonald(Liz); his great-grandchildren Ava and Jameson MacDonald, Bill MacDonald as loved like a son, his loving nieces and nephews, Mark Capsalors, Suzan Albert, Karla Dzwonkowski, Steven Capsalors, Terri Wusterbarth and Jonathan Capsalors. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses (especially Anna), aides, and the entire staff on N4 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. The family would also like to thank John Nielson for all his love and support. A private funeral and burial will be held at the family’s convenience. There are no calling hours.
