Dorothy (Yost) Drachenberg

February 19, 1934 - January 31, 2021

Dorothy “Dottie” (Yost) Drachenberg, 86, of Meriden, wife of the late Adolf “Al” Drachenberg, passed away peacefully Sunday (January 31, 2021) at The Village at Kensington Place in Meriden. Born in New Britain, Dottie was a Berlin resident since 1964 and later moved to Meriden in 2018. Dottie was a graduate of Berlin High School, class of 1951, and worked as a Collection Officer for the Edconn Federal Credit Union for 23 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in New Britain and was a vital part of the Fellowship Club and Altar Guild at the church. Dottie was also a Girl Scout Leader in Berlin for many years. Surviving is a son, Glenn Drachenberg and his wife Martha of Miami, FL; a daughter, Janet Moscati and her husband Michael of Pasadena, MD; a brother, Edward Yost of New Britain; grandsons, Dale Kaminkow of Pasadena, MD and Nelson Roque of Miami, FL and granddaughter Jennifer Regalado of Miami, FL; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday 9 AM (February 8, 2021) at Carlson Funeral Home 45 Franklin Square, New Britain followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be Sunday (February 7, 2021) from 1 to 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seasons Hospice Foundation, 8537 Solution Center, Chicago, IL 60677 or www.seasonsfoundation.org.
