Martin "Marty" Boettner

April 17, 1951 - January 1, 2022

Martin “Marty” Boettner, 70, of Plainville, passed away Saturday (January 1, 2022) at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Born in, Sheboygan, WI, he was a former New Britain resident for forty years, before moving to Plainville in 2014. Marty always spent his summers back in Sheboygan. A graduate of South High School, class of 1969, in Sheboygan, he received an Associate’s Degree from Concordia College in Milwaukee, and later received his Bachelor’s Degree from Concordia Teacher’s College in 1974. Marty was a teacher and the Principal at St. Matthew’s Lutheran School in New Britain for 43 years, retiring in 2016. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Plainville. Surviving is his brother, Bruce Boettner and his wife Debra in Sheboygan; and two nephews, Adam Boettner, his wife Angie, and son Archer. Peter Boettner, his wife Lisa, and daughter, Brooke. Marty’s family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Marty’s friends, especially Celeste and Joe. At Marty’s request, there are no funeral services at this time.
