Amy (Kelly) Glowka

Amy (Kelly) Glowka, 61, of Southington, beloved wife of Christopher Glowka, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. A New Britain native, Amy was the daughter of the late John “Jack” Kelly and Andrea (Suess) Kelly. She was formerly a resident of Plainville before moving to Southington in 2001. Amy was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in New Britain, Class of 1982. She worked in banking for over 45 years and served as a Branch Manager for Webster Bank in Middletown. Amy was also a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in New Britain. Amy and Christopher were blessed with a beautiful daughter. Her life was devoted to her daughter, Paige Glowka-Olsen, who was not only her pride and joy but also her partner in crime. In addition to her husband Christopher, Amy leaves behind her daughter Paige Glowka-Olsen and son-in-law George Olsen; her brother-in-law, John Glowka and his wife, Liz (Lizzy), of Berlin; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kelly of Georgia; her brother-in-law, Mark Glowka of Plainville; and her mother-in-law, Janina Glowka of Plainville. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews, including Mary Morgan Kelly, Joseph Glowka, Anthony Glowka, Jeffrey Glowka, Caitlyn Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Krystyna Glowka, and Stefania Glowka. Amy was predeceased by her two brothers, Kristopher Kelly and John Patrick “JP” Kelly. Amy was an avid animal lover who worked tirelessly to rescue and place animals of all kinds into loving homes, from horses and donkeys to cats and dogs. One of her greatest passions was supporting her daughter as she built her business, Flying Free Stables. Amy was an accomplished equestrian who instilled in Paige a lifelong love of riding and showing horses. Amy was with her daughter at every horse event, making sure she had everything she needed and being her biggest supporter. Amy also leaves behind her two beloved pit bulls, Cyrus and Zorro and her sweet Nova who was waiting to greet Amy on the “Rainbow bridge”. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 12:00 noon at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 95 Franklin Square, New Britain. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain.
